Sophie’s tap journey began at age three, when she first fell in love with rhythm and musicality.

Over the next fifteen years, she trained competitively in tap, jazz, hip hop, and ballet, eventually

representing Team Canada at international competitions, including the IDO World

Championships in Germany and the Dance World Cup in 2018, where her team earned gold and

silver medals.

Before beginning university, Sophie danced with Toronto’s Pre-Professional Rhythm Ensemble,

where she trained with some of the city’s most inspiring tap dancers and performed as part of the

company.

Her passion for dance continued into her undergraduate studies at the University of Guelph,

where she completed her Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics and served as an executive

member of Tap Pak.

Sophie is now in her fourth year of chiropractic school at CMCC, where she has spent two years

as President of the Dance Club, merging her love of dance with her growing expertise in human

movement and injury prevention. As a chiropractic intern, she hopes to build a future practice

that supports dancers of all ages and levels.

Sophie is excited to join the studio as a tap teacher and share her passion, experience, and love

for the art form.
